Elizabeth and Max are members of the Dolphins Circle. They were asked a few questions to share a bit about themselves…
Daughter: Talking Flower
Dad: Hovering Bird (I was a Huey helicopter pilot in Viet Nam 1967, US Army Retired)
How long have you been in the Y-Princess program?
Elizabeth and I did a few Adventure Princess campouts and the Christmas Dance with another Y Nation starting in October 2009 but found and fell in love with BTS and the Dolphins in time for the Catalina September 2010 campout (photo 1) and then your overwhelming Regalia and Induction into the BTS Nation at Joshua Tree October 2010
What was your favorite part about the recent event?
The outstanding level of cooperation and overall Leadership shown by BTS in turning an oversold disaster into one of our (Daughter/Dad) Events! Having the emotional joy of teaching my Daughter how to boogie board and see the happiness and sense of accomplishment on her face after that first BIG wave.
What has been your all time favorite event or memory of Y-Princesses so far?
Without any doubt the evening of Induction into the BTS Nation at Joshua Tree feeling that we truly belonged to a family of 1 of a 100; and having Elizabeth walk me into a pole while blindfolded!
This one is for Dad: What is your most favorite thing about your Daughter and why?
WOW, difficult question to single out just one. BUT with that said, it is that the Adventure Princess program has continued to develop in Elizabeth the "Sense of Self Confidence and her Selflessness" in a way of giving to others. As I watch her interact with the younger girls I feel very proud of her ability to connect and help others to feel connected.
This one is for Daughter: What is your most favorite thing about your Daddy and why?
The thing that I like about my Daddy is that he is caring and kind to the other Dads and Daughters. I really like BTS because we go to campouts and have fun.
Anything else special that you want the Expedition to know about you (hobbies, sports, things you do together outside of BTS, etc.).
Joining 2 years ago as a traditional nuclear family father and now as a single parent Dad, either way, I would just strongly encourage any father (really a daddy) to step up and be part of your Daughter's life while she will still let you in! These are the most precious moments that
