It’s been an absolute joy to read all the positive feedback
coming from our first event this weekend. Mia and I (and Sydney as well) are so
proud to have the opportunity to lead such an amazing group of dads and
daughters. Time and time again I saw dads walking hand in hand with smiling
daughters, making memories together, and just having a blast. I heard wonderful
encouragement from dads of all groups at all the events, especially for all the
girls that rang the bell on the rock wall, got a bullseye (or even not) at archery or riflery, and watching dads and daughters together on the low ropes course.
We truly all exhibited the spirit of Ken Clark this weekend
- I know he was watching over us and smiling - and I’m looking forward to
seeing it all year.
Thanks again to John Manion and the Phoenix, the staff of
Camp Oakes for treating us so well (and for whipping up a tasty dinner Saturday
night), and to all the dads and daughters who give their time and energy to
make BTS this awesome.
